We can commit to Public Investment that meets the Americans standards of equal freedom, equal security, and equal opportunity. And we can keep improving that Public Investment as American standards advance. To regenerate American Life, we need to cycle our Public Gains back into America. That’s how we fuel the public options that protect and empower all Americans.
Americans can say, “Enough!” to the out-of-control, extreme Money Counts of elite, entitled Counts. Contributing Americans can renew the promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, free from the corruption of extreme money, as we:
Provide public options across American Life. To reach the American standard of equal security, we need the public option of professional police. For equal opportunity, public options in education are vital. And equal freedom requires public options in things like justice, credit, healthcare. Public Investment is how we offer public options.
Meet current American standards. American standards keep improving over time. Invention is the mother of necessity: high speed internet, healthier homes, safer and more energy-efficient transportation, life-extending medical treatments. The necessities of life keep advancing. And our Public Investment needs to match today’s reality.
Fulfill the promise of America’s social contract. Public options in public hands are how we can (a) protect Americans from getting cornered by bad actors, (b) support more healthy and balanced competition among businesses, (c) maintain safety nets, and (d) ensure we have equal access to resources to pursue the American Dream.
On the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the Big Woods Declaration (BWD) renews the call for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, free from the corruption of extreme money.
The BWD is a First Amendment petition to the American people and our government. It is not limited to any political party or group.
The BWD is a total of 60 pages: the Core Declaration (4 pages), the 13 Notes, the 27 Dangers to America, and the 16 Solutions for America.
