We can trim back out-of-control Money Counts and welcome Counts into the Contributing Classes of America. In this country, it’s fine for some people to become super rich. But it’s not OK for a small group to be armed with extreme money that gives them predatory power over all Americans. When we trim back extreme Money Counts, we achieve healthy balance for America.
Americans can say, “Enough!” to the out-of-control, extreme Money Counts of elite, entitled Counts. Contributing Americans can renew the promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, free from the corruption of extreme money, as we:
Disarm Counts of lethal money power. Extreme Money Counts are extreme threats, like weapons of mass destruction. No American is truly safe or free in the shadow of a Count armed with extreme money. It doesn’t matter who is in elected office. Americans will only be safe when there are limits on extreme money power.
Encourage Counts to self-trim. Many Counts will refuse any change. They don’t know when to stop. But some Counts see how extreme money endangers America. And they can do the right thing and support real tax reform. They can stop “investing” just to collect more Free Income. They can stop turning their children into Counts.
Measure success by lower Money Counts. It will take real work to find the best tax and non-tax methods to trim back extreme Money Counts. Even a 90% extreme Money Count tax would still take years to bring an E11 Count back into the Contributing Classes. Success will be measured by the real reduction of total Money Counts.
On the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the Big Woods Declaration (BWD) renews the call for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, free from the corruption of extreme money.
The BWD is a First Amendment petition to the American people and our government. It is not limited to any political party or group.
The BWD is a total of 60 pages: the Core Declaration (4 pages), the 13 Notes, the 27 Dangers to America, and the 16 Solutions for America.
